CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

AN eventful first round of Champions League last 16 ties and looking ahead to next week’s games we have Arsenal hosting Bayern Munich and Gunners’ fans could be tempetd at to back their team at 3/1. AC Milan host Barcelona at the San Siro and are as big as 11/2, while the draw looks tempting at 3/1 as does a win for Malaga who are 3/1 to win at Porto. We’re giving away free bets for these games on our Facebook and Twitter pages, so make sure you are following the PG online, folks.

The PG QUAD

Norwich beat our 25/1 quad last week, drawing 0-0 at home to Fulham, but at least we are getting closer and fingers crossed for this weekend. We start in the FA Cup fifth round and in-form BARNSLEY (2/1) look great value to win at League One MK Dons. BOLTON (19/10) grabbed a vital win last weekend and can follow up with another at the City Ground where they take on a out-of-form Nottingham Forest side with Billy Davies back at the helm. WALSALL (5/4) are in cracking form in League One and can bank another three points at home to Notts County. We head to the SPL to make the quad up and another in-form side ST  MIRREN (7/5) completes the quad and they can take full points at home to Hibs and that completes a 43/1 punt.

The PG XXX TRIxIE

We just missed out on the treble XXX last week but the double gave an 11/1 winner for the Trixie players. We start this weekend’s draw treble in the Championship with draw specialists BIRMINGHAM who host WATFORD at St Andrew’s. In League Two we have two teams in good shape going at it with back-to-form BRISTOL ROVERS hosting WYCOMBE . We head to the SPL to make the XXX up and in-form ROSS COUNTY can continue their unbeaten run with a point at home to St Johnstone who have also hit form in recent weeks, winning 3-1 at Hibs on Monday evening.

The PG GOALRUSH

For the third week on the bounce we hit nine from 12 winners, so a wee bit of an improvement required and we suggest both teams to score in the following games: Birmingham v Watford, Derby v Wolves, Ipswich v Blackpool, Hartlepool v Leyton Orient and Southend v Northampton.

The PG FIVEHIT

We finish the weekend soccer with the odds-on Fivehit and we start in the Championship with BURNLEY (10/11) who should take all points at Turf Moor when Huddersfield visit while HULL (8/11) can make it two wins in four days with a win against Charlton. GILLINGHAM (8/11) can get back in the winning groove at home to Dagenham and Redbridge. We head to the lower tiers of Scottish football to make up this weekend odds-on Fivehit and AYR (8/13) should deliver three points at home to Albion Rovers while PETERHEAD (4/7) look too strong for Stirling Albion.

Weekend Racing

We delivered a big race winner last week when MY TENT OR YOURS delivered at 5/1 in the Betfair Hurdle, so here’s hoping we follow up this weekend. We start at Ascot with the Betfair Chase and King George runner-up Captain Chris is the midweek 5/2 Sean Graham favourite but the two miles five furlongs looks a bit short for him and we are siding with CUE CARD who found the three miles round Kempton too far in the King George and should relish this drop back in distance – the 7/2 on offer looks a solid bet. Haydock host a great card on Saturday and Swnymor looks the one to beat in the opener. The main feature is the Betfair Grand National Trial. Welsh Grand National winner Monbeg Dude will be a warm order but keep an eye on GILES CROSS (9/1) who might just pop back to form after pulling up at Chepstow.
