RESIDENTS of three of South Belfast’s inner city neighbourhoods are being given a say on the future directions of their communities. Over the last week, households in the Lower Ormeau, Markets and Donegall Pass areas have been sent questionnaires on behalf of the local Cromac Regeneration Initiative, which aims to bridge divides between the three communities and improve life for locals.
THE planned sale of Donegall Pass PSNI station has been slammed by a local councillor who has warned the station is vital for public safety due to the high number of pubs and clubs nearby.
QUESTIONS have been raised over maintenance bills for a South Belfast PSNI station unopen to the community but costing almost £23,000 a month to maintain.
THE closure of Donegall Pass PSNI station could damage relations between the local community and police, it has been warned.
