Healing of a Wounded City

THE annual Belfast Film Festival is returning this month, and with it comes a brand new Irish language documentary charting the history of the city over the last 100 years. The new film, titled ‘Cathair Ghonta’ (Wounded City), is produced by Bóthar Ard, the filmmaking arm of the Belfast Media Group, publishers of the South Belfast News, and sister publications the Andersonstown News and North Belfast News.

All-Ireland gold for our Ed

The Belfast Media Group’s very own Ed McGinley, of Annadale Striders, had the race of his life in Dublin on Sunday to take the Irish InterClub Cross Country title at Santry. The 29 year-old, who is sports editor of the South Belfast News and the North Belfast News, led from the start to finish first in the 12 kilometre event, but had a trio of Clonliffe Harriers runners in attendance from early on.
