In the great the Ardoyne-Ardoyne debate, BBC This Here Pravince favours the definite article. And, of course, the teddy bear’s head continues to float, eerily disconnected, behind the presenters’ heads, a loyal bulwark of the Great British mainland.

Landfall at Londonderry

THE SECOND major event of the 2011 hurricane season – Katia – came shrieking and howling across the broad Atlantic on Monday morning. According to the BBC Ulster weather team, it made land-fall in Londonderry.
