ANOTHER West Belfast roundabout has received a much-needed makeover with work almost completed at  the lower Kennedy Way traffic circle. Two weeks ago we reported that work was under way at the roundabout on the Glen Road and how a local councillor wanted to see the good work rolled out across the West. The Kennedy Way roundabout on the Andersonstown Road has now had litter removed, overgrown shrubbery cut back and new flowers planted, making it much safer for motorists – and easier on the eye for all.

“I am delighted that this work has been completed and completed successfully,” said Sinn Féin Councillor Caoimhín Mac Giolla Mhín. “This Kennedy Way roundabout, like the one on the Glen Road, is now more aesthetically pleasing and is much more safer for motorists who use this roundabout and road daily.

Stockman’s

“I want to thank Belfast City Council, the Department for Social Development and the Department for Regional Development for carrying out this work.

“It is my intention that hopefully this work will be rolled out to a third site at Stockman’s bridge which is the gateway to West Belfast,” added Cllr Mac Giolla Mhín.
