Police searching for a missing man in the Saintfield Road area have recovered a body. Search teams made the discovery on Tuesday afternoon close to the Knockbracken Healthcare Park, and at the time of going to press, had yet to identify the man.

The find came as officers searched for a man missing in the local area for over a week. Martin Griffiths, aged 55, has not been seen since Monday, July 30, when he was last spotted in the Castlereagh area on the outskirts of South Belfast at around 11am.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Martin has been known to frequent the centre of Belfast, and we are becoming increasingly concerned about him.”
