AMAZING footage of an ‘Unidentified Flying Object’  over West Belfast has been gathering hits on the video sharing website YouTube.

Thousands of curious people have watched the film of an object hovering over the Brooke Drive estate earlier this month.

The 25-second video was captured on July 12 by a sunbather in his garden and is now proving popular with flying saucer spotters on the UFO Disclosure Ireland account on YouTube.

Described on the site as “among the best and most proven footage” from Ireland, the footage shows a “huge disc shaped saucer” which was “tilted on its side and gave a white impression. The UFO was at around 30,000ft height during time of recorded sighting.”

While for the first few seconds the object seems unclear, the speed at which it exits the screen is phenomenal, leading many to believe it can’t be a man-made craft.

Comments from viewers include one individual from Milwaukee in the US who claims to have seen exactly the same phenomenon over US skies on the same day while another says: “I saw this at 3.30am, it was insane! Gave me goosebumps. I was having a smoke through my window and as I was going to look outside I saw a blue flash, faster then anything on earth, it left a little blue streak behind it but the ship itself just vanished after making the little blue streak. I am now a true believer!”
