AN invitation to ‘Come On and Celebrate’ has gone out to the community to take part in an evening of music worship and praise at St Agnes’ Church as part of Féile an Phobail.

Local singer songwriter Olive Keys, the Belfast Choir Assembly and St Agnes’ Vigil Choir will perform on Sunday August 11 at 7.30pm. Linda and Gerry Casey from the Vigil Choir said that anyone who would like to join in can take part in a series of rehearsals starting this Sunday, July 21, at 6pm.

“We will be holding a number of practice runs leading up to the Féile and the invitation is open to anyone who has an interest in singing and would like to come along,” said Linda.

“We will be rehearsing in St Agnes’ Parish Hall over the next few Sundays. This concert is a first for Féile an Phobail and it is an interdenominational event.

“Former curate at the Church Fr Rory Sheehan will be hosting the night on August 11 and reading some inspirational stories so it will be a very enjoyable night and we are looking forward to a good turn out,” added Linda.
