FÉILE25 has welcomed record crowds to events across the West since the Festival kicked off last Thursday.

With just days to go until Féile wraps up for another year there is still plenty of events left, and tickets available for concerts in the Big Top including a one-off gig by the Wolftones tonight (Thursday) and Dublin’s finest The Coronas on Friday, with Damien Dempsey and Joby Fox setting out their stall on Saturday. Ska legends The Beat will be bringing the curtain and quite possibly the tent down on Sunday.

Speaking to the Andersonstown News Féile Director Kevin Gamble said the response to the festival this year so far had been “phenomenal”.

The response to our big headlining gigs and the big tent itself has been phenomenal. Faithless, Chicane, LAPD, Happy Mondays, Charlatans, to name just a few have all injected something a little magical into our 25th celebrations.

“To see the crowds gathering for the Faithless show last Friday was truly spine tingling. We've proved that West Belfast isn't only capable of staging such large scale festival events, but can do so with some style and people have really enjoyed how the Falls Park has been laid out. We're all still recovering from the uplifting evening held in Clonard, where the Priests and Ulster Orchestra transported a full house with their heavenly sound – the only free seats were the confessionals!

“Patrick Kielty is another near sell-out crowd as is the Wolfe Tones tomorrow night (Thursday).

“The perfect way to see out the biggest and best Féile an Phobail would be the weekend ticket, a bargain at £20, for the final three big gigs in Falls Park. The Coronas and Walking on Cars on Friday, Damien Demspey and Joby Fox on Saturday and The Beat and the Very Specials on Sunday is what I'd call the winning final hat-trick for us.

“So many great things have happened already at this year's Féile25 but there's so much more to come."
