PUPILS, teachers and parents of a Greencastle school will round off the exhausting school year in style this weekend. Saint Mary’s, Star of the Sea Primary School is staging a community fun day on Saturday at 10am to promote the school and to give all the children a great day out.

The event will be crammed with many activities for the children to take part in such as face painting, football and, weather permitting, a barbecue.

The event has been organised by the teachers and parents group, Friends of Saint Mary’s Star of the Sea.

Members of the group, Deborah Donnelly, Michelle McLaughlin and Amanda O’Halloran have worked hard to promote the event before everyone breaks off for their summer holidays.

Deborah said:  “We hope the children have a great day, and the teachers will be bringing their families as well.  There will be loads to do and everybody is welcome to come along.”
